Most official translations are ready within 1–3 business days. The exact timeline depends on what you are translating, which language, and how urgently you need it.
Standard Turnaround Times by Document Type
- Short personal documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate, diploma — 1–3 pages): typically 1–2 business days for common language pairs.
- Academic transcripts and multi-page diplomas: typically 2–3 business days, depending on length and whether the document contains tables, stamps, or handwritten sections that require additional care.
- Contracts and legal documents: 2–5 business days depending on length and complexity. Legal text requires domain expertise and careful terminology handling — this is not content that benefits from being rushed.
- Large multi-document sets: longer — contact us with the full set for a realistic estimate. We will give you a clear delivery commitment before work begins.
What Affects Turnaround Time?
- Document length is the primary factor. A one-page birth certificate and a thirty-page contract are not on the same timeline, regardless of how straightforward the language is.
- Language pair: common pairs (English–Greek, French–Greek, German–Greek) can generally be assigned immediately. Rare pairs — languages with a small pool of specialist translators — may need a day or two more to arrange the right professional.
- Complexity: technical legal texts, medical documents, and notarially certified content require more careful handling than standard personal documents. Complexity adds time even for short documents.
- Current workload: high-demand periods — summer months, the weeks before major application deadlines or the ASEP examination calendar — may add a day to standard turnaround. If timing is sensitive, contact us early.
Rush Delivery — Is It Possible?
Yes. Same-day and next-business-day delivery is available for most standard personal documents (certificates, diplomas, short legal documents). There may be a rush surcharge, which we will always quote upfront.

The fastest translations start with clear, complete inputs from the client. A few practical things that make a real difference:
- Send a high-quality scan, not a blurry photograph taken at an angle in poor light. If text is illegible in the scan, it is illegible to the translator — and legibility checks add time.
- Send the final version. If the document has not been signed, apostilled, or finalised, wait until it has. Translating a draft and then requesting changes restarts the clock on any amended sections.
- Confirm your delivery preference upfront. Digital delivery is fastest. If you need a physical certified copy, factor in postal or courier time and confirm the address before work begins.
